Hi there
Am running latest apple X11(on G4500 sawtooth), everything works fine when
logging into 3 other machines via SSH (two macs and a pc with X). I decided
to try and ssh into my ibook, running YDL 2.3 with KDE 3 as WM/DM. It all
works as it should, I can open most gnome apps and they work fine, menus
included. I can open most KDE apps, and they work, but if I try and use any
dropdown menu like file or edit X just crashes altogether.
Below is what is spat out when this happens
[cols@ibook2 cols]$ knode &
[cols@ibook2 cols]$ DCOPServer up and running.
Mutex destroy failure: Device or resource busy
kdeinit: Fatal IO error: client killed
kdeinit: sending SIGHUP to children.
kdeinit: sending SIGTERM to children.
kdeinit: Exit.
Whats weird is I restarted both macs, tried again, and it worked? menus
where fine, But when I logged out and then back in the same thing happened.
I've tried restarting again as I did before, but I get the same thing again.
Can anyone help me out here? Yes I am a bit of a newbie, but I am learning
very quickly, any help much appreciated
Colin
