I run Accelrys's Cerius 2 exported from a fairly slow SGI onto my PB
without any difficulty. I've never used Insight II so I am unsure how
similar their performance demands might be.
I accomplish the X11 tunnel just by relying on ssh -X to do all the heavy
lifting for me. I've installed openssh on the SGI and I simply ssh into
it with openssh configured to provide X11 tunneling.
My workplace has a rigid "no unencrypted traffic" policy, so the ssh
traffic is doubly useful.
