I run Accelrys's Cerius 2 exported from a fairly slow SGI onto my PB
without any difficulty. I've never used Insight II so I am unsure how
similar their performance demands might be.
When OR IF this thing work I'll tell you about the performance later :-)
I accomplish the X11 tunnel just by relying on ssh -X to do all the
heavy
lifting for me. I've installed openssh on the SGI and I simply ssh
into
it with openssh configured to provide X11 tunneling.
How do you configure the SGI to provide X11 tunnelling? I ssh into my
servers too, but I have no control whatsoever on the tunning of the ssh
on my SGI servers. I could eventually ask my sys admin to do something,
but please some details on how to allow X tunneling? Thanks
