I'm sorry Eugene but what you are saying above is ridiculous. If someone makes
the statement: "I am using X11 on Mac OS X", then the next obvious question is
"Which implementation are you using?".
There are probably just as many people still running XonX as there are running
Apple's new betas. And many of those now using Apple's implementation were
running some other implemenation before (obviously).
Wrongly refering to Apple's X server as 'X11' only serves to confuse people who
are new to the X window system.
I was just pointing out a misconception. I assume you must be new to this list
as comparisons between XonX and Apple's X server have often been made here. For
example 'XonX behaves a certain way, and Apple's X server behaves another' or 'a
certain application worked with XonX but won't with Apple's X server'. Things
like that.
