I don't like Terminal much - I have difficulty getting colour support to
work in remote applications (and even some local ones). Plus, I like
xterm's mouse-based cut and paste paradigm, which Terminal.app does not
support (although you can drag stuff around, which is nice).
I use gnome-terminal a lot:
1) You can download an aqua-like theme for GTK, so it doesn't look too
out of place
2) Unlike xterm, but like Terminal.app, it can spawn multiple windows
from a single process
3) It recognises URLs, and you can Ctrl-click them to launch them in
your OS X web browser (once you have configured the default handler to
be 'open "%s"' in gnome control center). Very nice, albeit it's a bit
buggy with the current X11.app, and I've filed a report with Apple about
that.
Other terminals you can try are the KDE terminal, and rxvt.
