When you start up the X server, the server loads ~/.xinitrc if you have
such a file, or /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc if you don't. The default window
manager is loaded within the initialization script, so try editing it.
If you're not the sysadmin or you're not the only user on your Mac,
copy /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc to ~/.xinitrc and then edit ~/.xinitrc with
some text editor.
In the initialization script, make sure TWM is turned off, and replace
the line that loaded it with a line that loads whichever window manager
you want to make into the default.
