Recent versions of the base XFree86 system ship with a command line utility
called fc-list that will give a list of the fonts available to xterm -fa;
the undocumented "xfd -fa <fontname>" will display those fonts. I'm not 100%
sure if these ship with Apple's X11, but it's worth trying :-) .
