This doesn't help you immediatly, but the ls that comes with 10.3 supports
color, so when Panther is here, 'ls -FG' will give a very nice display
(make sure to make your terminal window black and your fonts white or the
red, green, blue colors used by ls look kind of washed out on the white
background).
