Just an addendum to a previous message I posted here. If I unlimit the
stack size for x11 in a shell before running it there, it still
crashes, but the crash log shows a slightly different result shown
below. Instead of KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE it shows
KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS. Still looking for any ideas if any are out there.

Subject: unusual crash using x11
Hello-
I have used x11 with great success for quite awhile now, but have
recently been trying to use a program (VNMR) that crashes it every
time. This program opens multiple windows - which is its normal
operation - and the program crashes after it attempts to open the 5th
window. The crash log is pasted below - anyone have any ideas? Thanks
in advance.
