Hi all,
Apologies for off-topic posting.
Never having had any success with uControl, up until now I have been
using
the hack described at http://ella.slis.indiana.edu/~jfieber/osx/
(adding an extra key to the AppleUSBKeyboard property-list) to swap
the control and capslock keys under System 10.2.6, and it has worked
flawlessly.
I'm still running 10.2.6. When I opened the Info.plist, there was no
AppleUSBKeyboard property list under IOKitPersonalities, in fact,
IOKitPersonalities was an empty Dictionary.
I created an AppleUSBKeyboard entry, with a Dictionary of it's own,
and put the property called for in the reference there.
Should I be worried that none of the other properties mentioned in the
example were there?
Like CFBundleIdentifier and IOClass, etc. ?
Yes, I made a copy first.
So far, I've been too cautious to try the next steps, given the
mismatch between what I found and the example given for 10.1...
Should I just be brave and go for it, or is the mismatch a sign I'm
looking at the wrong file?
