Hi all,
Apologies for off-topic posting.
Never having had any success with uControl, up until now I have been using
the hack described at http://ella.slis.indiana.edu/~jfieber/osx/
(adding an extra key to the AppleUSBKeyboard property-list) to swap
the control and capslock keys under System 10.2.6, and it has worked
flawlessly.
On upgrading to 10.2.8, I have found that this hack still works -- but
only if the keyboard is present at boot time. If the keyboard is attached
to the system later, or disconnected and reconnected, the control and caps
keys return to their 'original' positions.
Can anyone explain what is going on? How can I get the keys to stay
swapped consistently?
Michael
