Hi,
Since there was a related discussion....
Some people directed me to "uControl" a while ago
(http://gnufoo.org/ucontrol/ucontrol.html)
to switch caps-lock and ctrl key on my powerbook G4 (OS X, 10.2.6).
I've been using it since then, but the problem is that it stops to
function almost every one or two reboots of the machine. When I start up
the uControl from my SystemPreference panel, a warning window saying
"Extension not safe to load" shows up, and the "Edit Keys" tab is grey
not allowing any activation of the settings.
Since I thought this was a bit off the topic from x11, I sent an email
to the author of the uControl about a week ago if this is a known bug, but so
far no reply from him.
My question is, have other people experienced the same problem with
uControl, and if so, is there a quick fix for this problem?
What I've been doing is to uninstall it, reinstall it almost everytime it
stops functioning. Very tedius, but I really want to switch those keys for
my work using emacs. If I reinstall it, it works ok at least during for
that session.
Thanks in advance.
Ken
