I actually solved the freezing problem by uninstalling Mac's X11.app and
installing XFree86 (v4.4.0-13) via fink. I have no more problems, I'm
running the OroborOSX window manager (http://oroborosx.sourceforge.net),
cut and paste works, couldn't be happier.
I "uninstalled" X11.app by just removing these directories, as per these
shell commands:
sudo rm -rf /usr/X11R6
sudo rm -rf /etc/X11
sudo rm -rf /Applications/X11.app
Then you should be able to do a clean fink install. Somebody correct me if
I'm wrong.
