Hi,
This seems quite strange: I use 10.2.8 and XDarwin 1.1.1.1 and wanted to
change my accounts password via command line in x11 bash window, using the
command "sudo passwd". That did not succeed but I remembered system
preferences in aquas main menu and everything worked fine.
The next reboot some days later brought up a changed login appearance, not
just offering me as a user but also "others...", checking this lead to the
"name-password" instead of the "users-list" login. I could login with my
new passwd, and in the directory structure there seems not to be an
additional user. First, I would like to get rid of that additional picture
saying "others..." on the login screen, 2nd, I am surprised about the
"sudo passwd"s action but I cannot reproduce this since I first would need
my old login screen back, but I wonder if this has something to do with
X11. 3rd, I would like to make sure there isnt any new user on my system.
Thanks for helping, even if this should not be related to X11.
Joe
