Doesn't really look like x11 issue, but..
Further info needed to guess where it is from. Does it happen with any terminal application (MacOSX's Terminal.app and xterm) and with any account? Does it happen even if you change the shell to tcsh (if you are using bash)? My first guess is ~/.bashrc, ~/.bash_profile and other dot files in $HOME, although I suspect it comes from somewhere else.
