KDE complains during startup that another window manager is running.
So do I
need to config. X11 on OS X to allow kwin to run with KDE (remember I

have kwin installed locally).
I'm using ssh -XC remotehost to connect btw.

I have edited my .xinitrc file to modify the exec quartz-wm to:
quartx-wm --only-proxy &
and added:
/sw/bin/startkde >/tmp/kde.olg 2>&1
