Worked for me with tcsh, works now for me with bash. Check your .cshrc
files and .logins for errors?

Okay... got a strange one that i don't see mentioned in the FAQ.
It appears that the new X11 app for Panther does not work for a user
who is using T shell or C shell. The application will open, but the
user will not be able to open new terminal windows.
I have experimented with several users on my system, changing their
shells and running X11. I have found that, for all users, X11 will not
run properly only when those users are running C shell or C-shell
variants like T shell.
Can anyone reproduce these results on another system? It seems like a
bug, so i'd like to file a report, but i want to confirm that it's not
just my machine, and i don't have any other Panther machines
available. Or course, i still can't be sure if it's the new version of
X11 that's broke, or a new version of /bin/csh in Panther.
I have a G4 running 10.3.2; new X11 installed with Panther.
