I'm sure this has been discussed before, but: the default shell on 10.3
and later is 'bash', and the shell scripts used in the X11 installation
have been adjusted for that.
Of course, to be sure that this is the problem, we'd have to know what
is going wrong, and for all the words you've given us, none of them
help to determine the real problem. What does "not run properly" mean?
Also, did you install 10.3 yourself? Did you do an update install?
