Sorry, I left out DISPLAY...
[icd-lsf2:sampsont]<18%> setenv DISPLAY sampsont:10.0
[icd-lsf2:sampsont]<19%> nedit
NEdit: Can't open display
[icd-lsf2:sampsont]<20%> echo $DISPLAY
sampsont:10.0
It still doesn't work.
