What is in
/Applications/XDarwin.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/MainMenu.nib
(or the lproj for your language environment)?
Mine has two files, classes.nib and objects.nib.
as does mine ...

If you build Xorg the Xorg-recommended way in its own lndir (symlinked)
i have ...
tree, then neither X11.app nor Xdarwin.app will contain the nib files.
There are some other errors that may show up with X11.app without some hand
patching. But the lack of nibs does not create an error recorded in
World.log.

i have a while ago, and i've applied *both* the latest x11app.diff & apple.tgz
patches.
without them, XDarwin doesn't build at all on Tiger! (which was the case on
Panther as well, iirc).
WITH them, the problem (nib error on lauch) still exists
so, methinks its still something else ....
