anyone knows how avoid the OS automounting devices such as USB or FireWire devices I'm using OS10.4.6. The automount on the NFS is easy. Just say automount=-NO- My problem is that in the fstab you can make a rule when mounting devices, but therefore you have to know the device. I want to manually mount any USB or Firewire divice. Aspecialy strange/new devices. Just the way it works in Linux. In Os9 I was able to do so. Who knows the direction? Dirk from the Netherlands.
