Hi,
when logging myself into a linux host via ssh with display
set to X11 on the mac I can start many X11 applications except
Java/Swing-programs. They open a window, but the content of the window
is grey. The same application works fine on the display of another linux
box.
I am using X11 1.1 based on XFree86 4.4.0 on a Mac with Mac OS X 10.4.3.
The JRE used is 1.4.1. Does anybody else experience that problem, or
even better now a workaround solution for this?
So far I traced the problem with a java debugger: The native code in
sun.awt.motif.MFramePeer.open tells java a wrong dimension of the
window, which practically disables any refresh of the window content.
Any hints appreciated,
Alex
