Providing the display variable worked wonderfully for getting
Worker working! (Though I'm a bit embarrassed I didn't know
that this form of program call was possible. Thanks for the
education as well.)
It is SOOO nice to have a simple, user extensible, dual listing file
manager on my Macs! While the OSeX Finder tools are functional
once you learn a few editing shortcuts, there are a lot of file
management tasks that can be done a whole lot more efficiently with
a tool like Worker.
Next step is to port the bash scripts that I have written as extensions
for Worker. Unfortunately, it looks like that will require a bit of fiddling
because, surprisingly, the OSeX stock version of "expr" is severely
outdated (1993) and doesn't have any of the standard text string
manipulation functions of "expr" on other *nix based systems.
