It's right on the installation disc that came with the computer in
the Optional Installs package (or, you can find it directly at /
System/Installation/Packages/X11User.pkg).
X11 is not a default part of any Mac OS X installation, nor does it
come installed on any new machines.

I am a fairly new user to the OS X platform. I am trying to
install X11 however the only way I have discovered so far is to do
a fresh install and choose the custom installation with X11
selected. When I purchased my PowerBook from the Apple store last
year they apparently didn't seem it was necessary to install it.
Does anybody have any suggestions or places where I might look for
information on how to install X11 without having to do a re-install
of the operating system?
I appreciate any help and/or information anybody could provide!!!
Thanks!
