works here.
I think you're going to have capture OS version, X11 version and hardware
platform (Intel/PPC) in order to have the straw poll be uesful.
iMac (PPC G5) and MacBook Pro (Intel Core 2 Duo)
X11 1.1.3 on both
Mac OS X 10.4.10 on both
works on both
Can you please provide the exact series of clicks and key combinations you
use, as well as which Aqua document you are pasting into, so we can try to
replicate this? My experiences with (so far) PowerMac G5, intel iMac,
PowerBook G4, and MacBook Pro all suggest that this doesn't work. Could you
perhaps begin by copying some different text from one Aqua app into another?
For instance, a series like this would be helpful:
1) Click into URL bar of safari.
2) Triple-click to select the whole URL.
3) Command-C.
4) Click into MSWord.
5) Command-V. (URL pastes)
6) Click into X11.
7) Select some text.
8) Command-C.
9) Click elsewhere in X11 to deselect text.
10) Click into MSWord.
11) Command-V. (What gets pasted?)
Also, do you have any other applications or cdevs which might be altering
the way your computer's clipboard works?
