Well, the X11.app in /Applications/Utilities is 100% equivalent to
typing "login -fp $USERNAME xterm". You can look at the source if you
don't believe me. /usr/X11/X11.app is more complex...

/usr/X11/lib/X11/xinit/xinitrc

If you have a ~/.xinitrc file it should be run when the server starts
up instead of the file mentioned above.

Arguments? I don't understand. I believe Xquartz should read its
options directly from the files in ~/Library/Preferences like any
other app.
