While I've been having problems getting ssh to work from my Mac to a Solaris
box (running Solaris 9), I just tried it running to a Linux (Ubuntu) box.

Result: Ubuntu 1, Solaris 0

X started properly when I ran 'ssh -x <me>@<ubuntu>' and my display was set
to 'localhost:10.0'. Starting an Xterm worked as expected

dhcp-126:~/bin jwoehr$ cat xtssh
SERVER=$1
xterm -fg 'peach puff' -bg black -title "$1" -e "ssh -Y ${2:-jwoehr}@ $1" &
dhcp-126:~/bin dbarto$
