This is from iTerm.
The xterm that opens when X starts does not have the path
from .profile
in its environment. But it seems to have the correct DISPLAY variable.
/tmp/launch-G83iHs/:0
So, I am confused about how the new X11 sets the DISPLAY variable for
the system, and why doesn't xterm read my .profile file?
