I really like this idea of a preference.
Bug #5605471 submitted with this text: Summary: X11.app is started by launchd. After X11.app starts it remains running even after all the triggers that launched it are closed. Some users may prefer X11.app to remain running so it is immediately available for re-use, some may prefer it to close to conserve system resources.
Expected Results: Launch X11.app by requesting an X Windows program to start. launchd triggers the X11.app start. When the X Windows application is quit, X11.app quits (if no other process that need it remain).
Actual Results: X11.app starts as expected, but remains running after all sub-processes are terminated.
Notes: Request a preference be added to X11.app which allow the user to specify the desired behavior.
Hope that captures it.
