I backgraded to the Tiger X11 till the folks on this list figure out
Leopard, and now I'm having the oddest problem with xterm, which I
believe is a Leopard problem.
I'm logged in to the console of my Mac Pro, a 4-core Xeon machine,
running X11 emacs on the Tiger X11 X server. Works fine. My DISPLAY
environment var is ":0"; my SHELL is "/bin/csh". I've removed my
~/.cshrc and ~/.login files. Now I run xterm; it sits there and loops
forever, taking up one core. I start a second xterm, same thing. I
start a third one, and the window pops right up and works fine.
My home directory is on an NFS server.
Any ideas?
Bill
