And I'm not an emacs user *or* a vi user, so I'm probably a "strange"
X11 user.  Doesn't emacs have the option to use Alt for Meta?

Bah, I totally forgot about that setting.  I guess you can see how
quickly I disabled that as well... ;^)  Well there goes my idea -- I
can't imagine Apple giving up on Cmd...
