I run MacOSX 10.5.2 and X11 2.2.0.1. Instead of Quartz, I use Ion-3

Does it implement Apple-WM? I'm guessing not, which is part of the
problem... so... expect "issues"... sorry =/
Fiddling with X11 preference "Focus Follows Mouse" and such doesn't
change the behaviour.
Because that's a quartz-wm option. I don't know ion, but there's
probably a way to disable ffm in ion.
Hope that someone has an idea what might be going on here. Please let
me know if you need more information.
NB: The other bug I reported to this list a couple of weeks ago (see
thread called "Cmd-q gets through") is still there: Using Cmd-q to
close
an Application leads to a q that gets send to the X11 application that
gets the focus afterwards. Might this be connected? In both cases
X11
apps do not have the focus but receive the events anyway.
I remember this, but it slipped my mind for a while... Did you open a
bug report on this? If not, please do at http://xquartz.macosforge.org
