Probably not for 2.2.1. My main focus in 2.2.1 is stability, crash
related bug squashing. Once that is achieved, I'll be looking at
things like fullscreen, 8-bit, GLX, clipboard, etc.

Hi -
Thanks to a seismic e-mail service change, I think I missed out
on the discussion over the last couple of months on what the
priorities are for further work on X11. As you may recall, we have a
large codebase in a proprietary language (so that we don't make the
actual X11 calls, the proprietary languages compiled code does)
based on 8-bit color, and while some of the features can be
duplicated under TrueColor, at least one important one cannot.
Are there any plans at all for future support of 8-bit color, and
if so, a rough plan for when?
Thanks,
Joe Gurman
