What do you mean by "a while back"? Can you tell me what version this fix appeared in? I don't recall this ever being an issue.

If it matters, MBP 2.2 running 10.5.5 and 2.3.2_rc3 with GIMP 2.6.2 exhibited this problem. I have not tested on any other machine.
