Hi
Re: Ticket #164 "PGPLOT X11 window not redrawing with X11 2.3.1"?
http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/ticket/164
What is the status of this? The ticket says "closed" and "duplicate".
I can't tell whether this means it has been fixed. "Duplicate" doesn't
tell me which ticket this one duplicates, so it is hard to figure out
whether that one is fixed.
One of the major X-ray astronomy analysis tools, "Xspec", uses PGPLOT
to display data and fits, and it requires updating of the pgplot display
window numerous times in the course of the analysis. Consequently,
this problem is a major one for me, basically making 2.3.1 unusable.
I need to either go to a new version which works, or revert to 2.3.0.
Is this problem fixed in one of the 2.3.2 release candidates? If not, how do
I revert to 2.3.0? Can I simply install X11-2.3.0.pkg (after X11-2.3.1.pkg
has been installed already?)
I'm running
MacBook Pro
10.5.6 Build 9G55
XQuartz 2.3.1 (xorg-server 1.4.2-apple17)
Thanks.
Terry Gaetz
