Jon,
I appreciate your anecdotal comments. I am well aware that many folks are able to install 10.5.2 without problem. What worries me, however, is that there are fairly wide-spread reports of problems after installing the update. Now it certain that with as many folks out there as there are using Leopard there will always be a few who have problems, but when there seem to be a lot it is sufficient to give one pause to see if a more stable release will be forthcoming. Problems relating to 10.5.2 reported on MacFixIt include: Mail.app issues, screen saver issues, Safari oddities, Airport problems, freezes with DVD Player, problems starting up, problems launching some applications, disappearing iCal calendars, disappearing widgets, and more. Some of the reports seem to be more rare than others. The volume of reports are sufficient to cause me not to upgrade any of my machines. I learned long ago not to install any Apple updates the first time they appear. Several times a troublesome upgrade has been released and sometimes the fixes are rather painful for early adopters. It is well worth the wait to see what others experience. (I also have a spare machine which can be sacrificed before my main machines.)
My inquiry of Jeremy was for two reasons. (1) I wanted to know whether I would be able to upgrade or if I would be forced to wait until I install 10.5.2. (2) I wanted to subtly pass along to Jeremy that there are at least some who are concerned with the 10.5.2 upgrade and who might not be rushing out to install it.

I hope not because based on the numerous reports of problems with 10.5.2 I am avoiding it like the plague.
