I'm not a programer . . . I read this list to gain insight and get the latest updates from those who know what they are doing. So, I am not a person who would be able to contribute much, except to comment whether or not the updates work for me. They work for me, so I said so.
As I understand "MacFixIt" from what they have The problems reported are "anecdotal" and not predictive of the general public. MacFixIt has acknowledged in the past that this is not the average users experience, that most of the problems reported by them are from individual users. In fact, when complaints have been lodged with them about their "reports" they have acknowledged they do not represent the larger user base, but only a few.
IOW, although I recognize that there are some problems with some users (largely anecdotal), I also recognize that the general public does not experience these problems.
Your "question" seemed to beg my positive response. The decision to install or not is yours. I did not intend to discount those who are having real problems, but wanted to at least say, I am not experiencing those problems. My inquiry of Jeremy was for two reasons. (1) I wanted to know whether I would be able to upgrade or if I would be forced to wait until I install 10.5.2. (2) I wanted to subtly pass along to Jeremy that there are at least some who are concerned with the 10.5.2 upgrade and who might not be rushing out to install it.
