It works fine for me using either the button emulation or using a
three-button mouse. This too is on a macpro and nedit.
Do you have the emulate three-button mouse checked in the
Preferences? If not, check it, Quit X11 and restart and see if it
works.

Indeed... I am using 2.1.3...
I just tested again-- went into a text editor and typed in some text,
selected and copied.. Went to x11's xterm and pressed option + click
(on my macpro) and nothing happens...
