You shouldn't really believe that road map... Consider it a reflection
of what is at the top of my stack rather than when something will get
done. Right now, the main priorities are in completing the startup
rewrite and pushing out an updated release using the 1.4 branch (which
means squashing a couple remaining regressions that have popped up...
almost done), then figuring out why the 1.5 branch doesn't work
properly, getting a 2D accelerated EXA driver, cleaning up pasteboard
proxying, fullscreen, 256-color, and other issues.
Just because I don't have it scheduled for 2.3.0 or 2.3.1 doesn't mean
it won't be fixed by December 2009 ;)

Hullo Mick!
thanks for the reply. i too think that this feature is not at the
top of their
list (recently i saw that on their ''road map'' the fullscreen mode is
scheduled on the december of year 2009 [wow]), and i am as well sure
that it is not possible to bypass the x11 wm for the zoom/2.
after writting my original post i tried the twm (good old times
are returning finally) and with some fun with xmodmap i managed
to move the windows with alt and mouse. the movement was
really poor (i mean the window just reapeared in the new
location) but it worked. just as Sebastian Perez sugested
in his reply (to use fvwm2).
thx,
pete

I use Zooom for the Mac and I really like it - however it
doesn't work under X11. According to the developer:
X11 applications (like Gimp, or Emacs) do NOT present Accessibility
information to the OS at all - this in turn means Zooom/2 cannot
manipulate
these windows. This is something only Apple can fix by making these
apps
respond properly to the Accessibility API comands being sent to them.
I'm not sure if this is a known issue to the likes of Jeremy and
Ben, but
like you I'd love to see this working if possible. My guess is that
it's not
at the top of the priority queue though...
