Again, try with 2.3.0-rc3 ... the threading issues were significantly
improved in the changes I made to the 1.4 server.

I am getting the same symptoms even without the dual monitors. This
appears
to be similar to a problem with XQuartz that appeared to have been
fixed (I
think it was bug #42). The bug had appeared to go away with the
installation of X11.pkg 2.2.1, but seems to be coming back with the
latest
Mac OS upgrade. Note: I reinstalled X11.pkg 2.2.1, so it is not
just that
the OS delivery overwrote my X11 upgrade.
The problem appears to be a hang ta __xp_async_dequeue again ... I
can send
a new stack trace if it will help.

That's my problem. It does this whenever I need it most. I have

I am also a dual head and spaces user. My guess is its something

And it all went away again. Feh. I quit and restarted X11.

I have the same issue. It just disappears but the windows are

visible. What is your video setup?
This is on a 2 GHz Core2Duo Black Macbook (2nd gen?). When I
reboot
the box yesterday, it was running with just the internal LCD,
today,
when I got to work, I hooked up an external LCD Panel to it to run
dual-headed. It worked long enough this morning for me to open 3
xterms and maximize them, I didn't notice the problem until I went
back to select some text and my mouse pointer stayed as a pointer
rather than the vertical bar for text selection. Now, when the
mouse
moves over the red/yellow/green buttons on the top left of the
xterms,
they don't change like they should, clicking on them doesn't do
anything.
Using spaces?
Yes, I run spaces, but I leave all the X11 bits on the same space.
