Oh, if you run defaults read org.x.X11 you should see output
including "done_xinit_check" = 1; which I really think should have
been set automatically when you answered the questions. If not, then
maybe running
defaults write org.x.X11 done_xinit_check 1
will cure the problem. Or maybe there is a deeper problem with
Library/Preferences/org.x.X11.plist ... in which case deleting that
file, so that X11 can create a new one next time you run it, might
help.
