Is this kde running on the same system as the X server? What happens
if you run the same kde app on a remote X server? What happens if you
run a remote kde app to this ppc x server?
What is the output of:
otool -L /path/to/the/application

On the PowerPC KDE apps look really messed up - the text in menus

to be corrupted, with random letters and boxes of funny colours,
whilst the
Intel MBP is absolutely fine! I've attached a screen grab from

to show what I mean...
I'm baffled! Is it possible it's a font issue on my machine?
I don't think it's a font issue. I'd guess an endianness bug in
X11 itself,
but this doesn't even look like the endianness bugs I've seen
before.
But if it works fine on Intel then it's almost certainly
endianness related.
Is there anything I can do to test this? And incidentally, in case
it's relevant, the problem gets worse with time, and eventually
leads to a crash.
Sorry to pester but this is making X11 unusable for me. Is there
anything I can do to help. Should I submit a formal bug report? And
if so, how and where?
Cheers,
Ed
