I know this is more a feature request than a usability issue, but
can we have a different background colour for the X11 Dock icon?
The reason I ask is that, as seen in the screenshot at
http://members.iinet.net.au/~akozakis/X11DockIcon.png, I have the
Dock on the right hand side of my screen. This removes the 3D
mirror effect from the Dock, and the X11 icon is kind of hard to see.
The Leopard Desktop designers made some really bad choices, among
them unreadable grey-on-grey window titles, random and non-
changeable folder icons in the dock, and side docks with dark and
non-configurable background.
Most of us are just suffering silently and take for granted that
from now on you see only half of some of the dock icons;
GraphicConverter now has a dock icon that consists of two
disconnected light blobs with red dots inside, Console is just two
grey horizontal bars, and finally X11 has no longer an "X" in its
icon, but is an orange ellipse that reminds of Colgate toothpaste.
That's life. If it annoys you sufficiently, file a bug with Apple.

I have System 10.5.5 and have none of the problems you mention.
