Could you try 2.3.2_beta1

Tried just now. Same problem. Reproducing should be easy if you want
to try it out, all you need to do is click the layer mode dropdown
(which should allow you to choose a different mode for a layer, such
as dissolve or soft-light, etc). What happens is that the window that
should pop up above the layer toolbar pops up under it. Unfortunately
it's impossible to move the layer toolbar while that selection window
is open because it grabs the mouse focus and doesn't let go. What I am
doing at the moment is hitting the dropdown and then using the arrow
keys to move up and down through the invisible list (I don't think
it's really invisible, I think it's just underneath the toolbar,
really). This doesn't only happen with the layer toolbars "mode"
selection dropdown, it happens with just about any of the dropdowns
that are supposed to provide a selection box. I'm not sure what the
developers did that makes it different from a regular dropdown box
(for example the dropdowns in pidgin work just fine).
This didn't happen with GIMP 2.4, although 2.4 had quirks of it's own
they weren't so bad as to make the software unusable (as is the case
with 2.6 unfortunately)
Thanks for the help!
