Hello,
First post on this list, so feel free to redirect/bounce me if my
questions are FAQ.
Somewhat urgently, I must run lots of OpenGL simulations running on
FreeGLUT/X11. I don't really have the time to mess with the code at
this stage so I'd like to let it as is. I have a Mac Pro with lots of
GPUs (4), lots of cores (8) and lots of RAM (8GB), and I would like to
run several of these simulations concurrently. So I'm looking for an
initial advice on how I should proceed.
1) I believe that X11.app is virtualized on a single GPU, even if
windows are scattered on multiple monitor attached to multiple GPUs.
Am I right?
If so, there is no point running two simulations in the same X11.app.
So...
2) Is there a simple way (or at least, a possible way) to run several
X11.app and make sure they are attached each to a separate GPU?
Thanks a lot in advance for you help.
Best regards,
Antoine Beyeler
