While certainly not disputing the assertion that splitting X11SDK and

war under false pretenses and contributing substantially to global
warming, thus accelerating a process that will, inevitably, drown half
of civilization, can I ask why breaking things up so that they can be
updated even more frequently considered such a bad thing?
It's not a decision that cannot be relatively easily undone, but
making things even more monolithic doesn't necessarily advance the
cause of improving X11 on the platform either, given the current
software update mechanisms in place (which, lest anyone be tempted to
go down that road, is also not within my power to change, so save your
fingers). If, even so, someone can still come up with a compelling
argument for making "the user bits" and "the developer bits" one piece
again, I'm certainly willing to listen to it.
