How about this simpler scheme until monitor plugging works: just
truncate the menu bar's pixels from the "full-screen" display. I
doubt anyone will care much about that loss of screen real estate.
Monitor plugging does work now (and has for the past 3 months or so
IIRC). That's why I think I can probably integrate it with the code
that handles that. So when we do enable fullscreen, it'll update the
resolution to be the full size, and when we don't, it'll truncate off
the menu bar...
But honestly, the more I think about it, the more I think that *IS*
what it does... I'll need to file this on the back burner. Dave,
please file a bug report in our trac for this.
