Actually, can you elaborate on the issue you're seeing when switching between X11 and other Mac OSX applications? Are you using quartz-wm? Can you tell me steps to reproduce it?

I know there is one bug with initial windows appearing rootless at first launch even though the server is set to be fullscreen. I just fixe that here:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?h=xorg-server-1.4-apple&id=5ecc497f71c2133f773f6c56ad76cb778862ddd6

but I'm unaware of any issues once the server has been up and running for a while...

Yes, the first issue is not a regression and is not expected to be fixed in 2.3.3.

The other issue you mention is fixed here and will be fixed in the final 2.3.3 release.

Thanks for your patience.

I am still experiencing the issues in full screen mode in the last RC4.

Let me recall here what exactly was the problem.

I am still in 2.3.3_rc1 (I will install the rc2 later) and I
still have the problem of windows and widgets not showing up
in full screen mode when switching back and forth between
X11 and Aqua.

More precisely, the problem concerns the switching between
X11 and another Mac OS X application. It is resolved if upon
returning in X11, in which case only part of the open
applications will appear, I do cmd-alt-a to go to Aqua
(while still having X11 in the foreground) and repeat it in
order to return to X11. This is my workaround for the time
being.

This is on a Macbook with the GMA X3100.

Now I notice that if the application switching occurs within the workspace where X11 runs, then all the active X11 windows are shown normally. So, this definitely has to do with the interaction between X11 and Spaces.
