And of course hostname -s is not a universal invocation for hostname
- it is invalid on Solaris, for example.
But it's what Jeremy asked for, and I assume he knows what he's
doing. (And I know all about it; woke one morning to find all our
Linux boxes had changed their hostnames to "-s" because of an untested
coretools update. Coworkers got a bit of a talking-to about that.)
