My roommate doens't use X11 much, so he only has the "vanilla" 2.1.6
X11. I borrowed his laptop to test this, and it looks fine to me.
THis is possibly the second or third time that I've heard this, and I
have no idea what the problem is. I'd like to figure it out, but I
need something reproducible.

The server in 2.1.6 is almost identical to the one in 2.3.2 which has
gotten a very thorough beating and never had this problem.

Hmm. I had never installed anything but the the plain Apple X11, so
I don't think I had 2.3.2 on there before...
It's nice to hear I'm not the only one this happened to.
